该媒体表示，滕哈赫若被曼联高层解雇，索斯盖特仍然对接任他的可能性感兴趣，这影响了他对可能取代肖恩-戴奇执教弗顿的兴趣程度。

此前透露，索斯盖特已经与英力士体育总监戴夫-布雷尔斯福德爵士建立了良好的关系，自从拉特克利夫成为少数股东并接管足球运营以来，布雷尔斯福德一直在曼联幕后扮演着至关重要的角色。
